Camtasia and Snag-It and Other Screen Capture Programs

The November TAG meeting will focus on Camtasia and Snag-It sold by TechSmith and other free screen capture programs.

Free programs briefly demonstrated were Jing, Screenr, and Screengrab (an add-on for Firefox).

Screenshots, screen dumps, or screen captures can be used to demonstrate a program, a particular problem a user might be having or generally when computer output needs to be shown to 70-562 exam others or archived, or to simply show off what you do on your computer to others.

Loved the presentation on Camtasia!

For capturing still images, I use Irfanview. It is a free Windows image viewer and editing program. It will do batch processing, slide shows, and screen capture.
