Adobe Photoshop: Color Management and Metadata

October 15, 2008 presentation for the Tucson Adobe User Group.

Still mystified about color modes, color spaces, ICC profiles, and rendering intents? Not sure when to use sRGB, AdobeRGB, ProPhoto, or SWOP? Do device profiles, working spaces, and profile connection spaces make your head spin? What exactly does "out of gamut" mean, and how do you deal with it? And what about Metadata? Do you take advantage of it? Do you know how to prevent your creative works from becoming "orphaned works," or how to use hierarchical keywords to pick out specific digital assets from a digital haystack?

If these topics leave you feeling like you've been in high-speed kaleidoscopic carnival ride, join Rich Wagner for a discussion of Color Management and Metadata

Rich Wagner is a Board Member of ASMP Tucson and a Member of the Universal Photographic Digital Imaging Group (UPDIG) Working Group on CMYK and UPDIG Working Group on Image Submission Standards. He is also a member of the Stock Artist's Alliance, the American Society of Picture Professionals, and PIA/GATF.
